Facebook, just Marketplace.

A free browser extension that turns Facebook into a standalone Marketplace app. No feed, no Reels, no endless scrolling. Just buying and selling.

Free · Open source · Collects no data · Not affiliated with Meta

How it works

Lots of people only open Facebook to buy or sell, and every visit starts in a feed built to keep them scrolling. MarketplaceOnly skips all that.

1

Land on Marketplace

Opening Facebook takes you straight to Marketplace. Links to the Feed, Reels, or Groups do too.

2

Hide the distractions

The Home, Reels, Groups, and Gaming icons disappear, and so does the notifications bell.

3

Stay in control

A small tray on the edge of Facebook switches any area back on instantly. One switch pauses everything.

Everything you need to buy and sell stays

MarketplaceOnly never touches the parts of Facebook that make a deal happen.

Always works

  • Marketplace listings, search, and categories
  • Message Seller and Messenger chats
  • Seller profiles, so you can check who you're meeting
  • Login, security, and account settings

Hidden until you want it

  • News Feed and Stories
  • Reels and video
  • Groups
  • Gaming
  • Notifications bell and count

Private by design

MarketplaceOnly doesn't collect anything, and it has no server to send it to. Your settings stay in your browser.

  • No accounts
  • No analytics
  • No tracking
  • No remote code

It runs only on facebook.com, and the code is open for anyone to check. Read the privacy policy.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes, completely. It's open source under the MIT license, with no ads, upgrades, or subscriptions.

Can I still see my feed or groups sometimes?

Yes. Click the tab on the right edge of Facebook (or the toolbar icon) and switch any area back on. It takes effect immediately, no reload needed.

Does it work on my phone?

Not yet. It works in Chrome and Firefox on a computer. The Facebook app and the mobile website aren't supported.

What happens when Facebook changes its design?

The most important part, sending you to Marketplace, depends on web addresses, which rarely change. If Facebook moves something the extension can no longer hide, the tray tells you and offers a one-click problem report.

Is this made by Facebook or Meta?

No. MarketplaceOnly is an independent project and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta.
